Website Launch!!

Here is a little background of how this website was conceived.  The idea of making ink art of endangered animals had taken root in our heart many years ago (our first endangered animal artwork goes back to 2014 shortly after we started our studio).  However, we were unable to find a good way to produce and archive animal artwork satisfactorily.  The problem was overcome after our studio artist started learning Chinese calligraphy in mid-2016.  In the process of mastering brush-and-ink, we realized we were able to produce satisfactory animal portraits in ink in a reasonable time frame.  We also found out that archiving the ink artwork was as simple as scanning and vectorizing it!

With the difficulty of producing and archiving artwork overcome, we have made more than 120 endangered animal portraits in brush-and-ink between June 2017 and March 2018.  The ink artwork are far from perfect (even the best arts have room for improvements in our view), but we can strive a little closer to perfection through experimentation and practice.

In short, this website serves to document and archive our studio’s journey in ink art.
