100 Blessed Rabbits (福兔)

Our 100 Blessed Tiger postcard fai-chuns last year received much praise while spreading a little joy during a time when the COVID-19 pandemic was still devastating the world. After a little debate, we decided to keep this gifting tradition again this year despite the scarcity of time for an early Lunar New Year.

We collaborated with the same paper artist (Lomfafair) again this year, but instead of the yellow and orange colors we picked a more festive red. The papers were handcrafted from recycled red pockets with no added dyes! And since the paper were red, we couldn’t use a red seal like last year, so we experimented with gold poster color which turned out amazing!

It took our studio artist a little over a week to finish drawing all the 100 Blessed Rabbits (福兔) and had most of them mailed out just before LNY! Was the effort worth it? From the joy sparked by those who received the cards it seems they are worth more than receiving 100 Whatsapp stickers on LNY Day! Who wouldn’t want a functional (postcard), sustainable (recycled red pockets), and delightful (just look at the cute hand-drawn rabbit) handcrafted gift?!
